Dog training and boredom busting toys are often part of the solution when trying to remove or alleviate your pet’s anxieties and potentially destructive behaviour. Dog’s are highly intelligent and if they become bored they may display negative behaviours (destruction, howling, racing etc.) as they seek to entertain themselves. As part of a two pronged solution you should look to both physically stimulate your dogs (through walks and exercise) and to mentally stimulate them. It should be remembered that 15 minutes of mental stimulation tires out your pet as much as 30 minutes of physical exercise. Nina Ottosson’s Casino dog toy is ideal for this.

Nina Ottosson’s Casino interactive dog toy is an advanced (Level 3 in the brand) challenge for dogs which lets them unlock and find treats locked inside the side drawers. By training and teaching your dog through sequential steps they can learn to first unlock the drawers on the side by twisting the non removable bones on top. After that they can use their paw or nose to pull open the corresponding side drawer to reveal the treat/reward that you have placed inside. The toy holds up to 1 cup worth of treats.

The Casino dog toy is ideal for all breeds and dog sizes and as a shared learning experience intends to strengthen the bond between you and your dog. To get your pets interest you could leave them a drawer open and/or unlocked. You can teach them how to get to the treats by teaching them and they will soon follow your lead. Constant supervision is required to prevent frustration or biting through the toy as problem solving.

The interactive toy is easy to clean by hand using warm soapy water and measures approximately 31.5cm x 26cm x 4.5cm (12.5″ x 10.5″ x 1.75″).
