Ancol’s dog massage pad has been designed to remove loose hairs whilst gently massaging both your pet’s coat and skin; resulting in a healthy, shiny coat for your pet. The massage pad is made of soft rubber which removes the loose hair and the fingers provide the massage. It is ergonomic to aid grip, comfort and flexibility for the groomer.

The dog massage pad ensures a gentle grooming session. It can be used on both short or long haired coats and can be used either when your dog’s coat is wet or dry. In particular the dog massage pad is ideal for curly, short, smooth or wiry coats.

The manufacturer recommends the following instructions for use:

To use on dry fur, gently brush the hair in the direction of the fur growth. The fingers and friction cause by the pad will pull away loose hairs. To ensure your dog has an enjoyable grooming session, start gently. If you dog enjoys the massage pad, more pressure can be applied to remove more fur.

To use on wet fur, massage the coat with the pad; this is ideal for working up a lather with shampoo. Pause or end the grooming session if your dog becomes agitated.

Grooming tips: Grooming is a wonderful way to bond with your dog, but dogs that are new to grooming should be introduced to it slowly. Begin groom sessions when your dog is relaxed, if possible, after they have exercised. Use tools gently and avoid tugging on the skin or on knots or mats. Give your dog plenty of reassurance throughout the grooming session. Pause or end the grooming session if your dog becomes agitated or shows signs of stress. Keep grooming sessions brief to begin with, and increase the length of the sessions as your dog becomes used to grooming.
