The braking system also has a permanent stop function which allows you to fix the flexi lead at a certain length. In addition thanks to the tape guidance system, the tape can be extended in all directions without getting jammed.

According to the manufacturer’s specifications the leads are designed to be used for dog’s weighing:

Small: 5m tape (16ft) for dogs weighing up to 15KG (33Ibs)

Medium: 5m tape (16ft) for dogs weighing up to 25KG (55Ibs)

For your pets safety it is strongly recommended not to attach a retractable/extendable dog lead to your dog’s collar around their neck. This is because serious injury can occur if for example your dog is running and is suddenly stopped by the lead’s brake, which can whiplash their neck in the opposite direction. It is advised to use a harness when using a retractable/extendable lead.
