Nylabone Bacon Bone Dog Toy

At any moment your dog may decide that they want to play. This not only stimulates them physically and mentally but also gives you the perfect opportunity to bond with your dog. To aid this a range of toys has been designed to allow plenty of play.

This Nylabone dog chew toy, is extremely long lasting and durable. It is manufactured using tough nylon to provide a challenge for aggressive and powerful chewers. This strong dog toy can be used to help discourage destructive chewing around the house. Nylabone chew toys are tough like real bones, but without the associated dangers. Instead of splintering, the nice smooth surface ‘roughs up’ as it is chewed. Tiny bristles raise up on the bone and act like a mini toothbrush; helping to keep your dogs’ teeth clean and reduce tartar build up. Should your dog manage to bite any off of the bone, it should only ever be as small as a grain of rice which are not a choking hazard and can be passed if swallowed.

Nylabones have a delicious bacon flavour throughout, meaning the flavour continues for as long as the chew does. Nylabones are not sprayed, dipped or coated so there is no chance of the tasty flavour being licked off.

Nylabones come in 3 sizes, measuring approximately:

Medium: 14cm (5.5″) in length, intended for dogs weighing up to 16KG (35 Ibs)

Large: 20cm (8″) in length, intended for dogs weighing up to 23KG (50 Ibs)

XLarge: 26cm (10.5″) in length, intended for dogs weighing over +23KG (50+ Ibs)

When selecting a chew, the manufacturer provides the following advice:

It is important to select the appropriate chew type, size, and formulation based on your dog’s age, breed, chewing style, and weight. The pressure exerted by a strong chewer’s jaw is considerable, and when directed straight down can put tremendous (as much as 450 psi) stress on the dog’s teeth. It is therefore recommended that non-edible chews be large enough to encourage chewing from the side rather than the top and bottom.

If you have more than one dog in your household, select chews appropriate for the largest, strongest chewer. Replace when knuckle ends are worn down, or if it becomes too small for your dog to chew safely. To clean Nylabone Non-Edible Chews, scrub with a brush under warm water, using mild, non-toxic detergent and rinse thoroughly. Our products are flavoured throughout and will last the lifetime of the chew. No amount of scrubbing will remove our flavour!

Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your dog in case things get rough. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pet safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
