Fluval’s underwater filter “U Series” use an efficient and complete 3 stage filtration – including BIOMAX biological filtering (in the U2, U3 and U4 models), to produce superior water quality. All models include many versatile and practical features which make them ideal for use in fresh, marine and reptile environments.

Fluval’s U series allow you to set the flow output in 3 different positions – a key benchmark in underwater filtration. The adjustable 3 way flow control (U2, U3 and U4 models) allows you to position the water flow output to your tank’s specific needs. The top output setting produces maximum circulation and oxygenation, the integrated spray bar setting provides a gentle, even flow for use in planted aquariums, and the bottom output setting is for deep water agitation.

Fluval U underwater filters are designed with a convenient flip top lid, allowing easy and quick access to the filter cartridge for maintenance or to replace. Use Fluval’s Clean & Clear cartridge which is packed with special high performance resins; proven to reduce phosphate and nitrate while preventing the spread of algae. Leaving you with a cleaner, clearer aquarium and healthier fish for longer intervals. The Clean & Clear cartridge can also be used in U1 filters with its specially designed foam cut out section.

Fluval’s U underwater filters be installed vertically against the aquarium wall to create currents or customised flow patterns Alternatively they can be placed horizontally in shallow water tanks or to create decorative features such as waterfalls.

The Fluval filters are ideal for use in fresh, marine or reptile environments. The U1 model can be used as a primary filter in smaller aquariums or as a supplementary filter for larger aquariums. It is also ideal for tanks with low water levels. The U1 includes an adjustable flow control and comes complete with 1 foam pad.

The Fluval U2, U3 and U4 filters comes complete with the Adjustable 3-Way Flow Control feature, 2 Foam Pads, 2 Poly/Carbon Cartridges, and BIOMAX Biological Rings.

The filters are designed for the following aquarium sizes and measures approximately:

Fluval U1: For 55L tanks and below with a pump output of 250 Litres per hour. The filter measures approximately 10cm x 8cm x 15cm (4″ x 3″ x 6″)

Fluval U2: For 45L – 110L tanks with a pump output of 400 Litres per hour. The filter measures approximately 20cm x 9cm x 10cm (8″ x 3.5″ x 4″)

Fluval U3: For 90L – 150L tanks with a pump output of 600 Litres per hour. The filter measures approximately 26.5cm x 8.3cm x 10cm (10.5″ x 3.25″ x 4″)

Fluval U4: For 130L – 240L tanks with a pump output of 1000 Litres per hour. The filter measures approximately 33m x 10cm x 11cm (13″ x 4″ x 4.5″)

Remember to extend the lifespan of your underwater filter it is vital to keep it clean and well maintained, including replacing cartridges and pads as required.
