Dog Car Safety Belt

One of our dog’s favourite time of the day is when we announce that it is time for “WALKIES!!!”. Sometimes your regular street or field dog walk just won’t cut it and you fancy going further afield. To do this a high quality car seat belt is essential (and a legal requirement) to keep your dog fully under control and secure while you drive. Please remember to always use a harness if you intend to use an extendable or retractable dog lead to avoid serious injury to your dog’s neck.

Sharples’ dog car safety belt helps to keep your dog safe and secure during travelling, preventing injury in the case of sudden braking, swerving or collision. The safety belt is manufactured using strong, durable and non irritating nylon webbing. One end of the seatbelt slots into your existing car seatbelt lock and the other has a trigger clip which attaches to your dog’s harness. Keeping your pet secure by restricting their movement during car journeys also significantly reduces distraction to yourself whilst driving.

The manufacturer has provided the following sizing guidelines to ensure a safe fit for your pet:

Small/Medium: 2cm (0.75″) thick and adjusts between 42cm and 66cm (17″ – 26.5″)

Large/XLarge: 2.5cm (1″) thick and adjusts between 50cm and 80cm (20″ – 32″)
